At Ewell Grove, we aim to spark every child’s natural curiosity about the world around them! Our science curriculum is full of wonder, fun, and exciting discoveries. We help children think like real scientists, asking big questions, testing out their ideas, and finding out how our amazing world works.

Science at Ewell Grove is hands-on and packed with exploration. From growing plants to building circuits, lessons are filled with fun experiments and hands-on testing. Vocabulary development is a key focus! We use pictures, actions, and word walls, so new words really stick. Our progressive curriculum enables children's knowledge to grow stronger and deeper as they move through school. We link science to everyday life, caring for our planet, and famous inventors, showing children how science shapes the world around them.

Our aim is for children to leave Ewell Grove as confident, curious thinkers, enabling them to:

Ask questions, carry out fair tests, and explain what they have discovered.

Talk and write confidently using rich, accurate science words.

Show a strong understanding of how living things, materials, and forces work.

It is important that our children step into the future with a sense of wonder, a care for nature, and the confidence to explore anything!
